Additional services will allow broker’s customers to download their insurance documents on demand

Former Brightside chief executive Arron Banks’s new broker, GoSkippy Insurance, has signed a new five-year contract with broker technology provider OpenGI.

Under the deal, OpenGI will provide a wide range of additional technology to GoSkippy, including its mCommerce and Document Portal products.

Both these products will allow customers to purchase and download their insurance documents on the move through GoSkippy 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Other products include Open GI’s eBroker enhancements and enhanced support services.

GoSkippy managing director Alan Ball said: “To date we have 160 users of the Open GI system and having the current technology in place has allowed GoSkippy to offer van, bike and motor insurance online to the consumer market.

“The new technology OpenGI will develop for us means that GoSkippy can double the amount of users and offer even more choice for our customers.”

OpenGI sales and marketing director Simon Hughes added: “Our working partnership with GoSkippy has gone from strength to strength. Since September 2012 we have seen a significant increase in users of the Open GI software which in turn has allowed GoSkippy to provide even more quotes for its consumers as well as aid future plans for expansion.”
