Toby Clegg was appointed chief executive at Clegg Gifford (CG) in October 2016, having first joined the firm in 2007 following service in the Royal Navy.

His early career at CG in the early noughties saw him gain experience across a range of branches and classes of business, on both a direct and wholesale basis.

Clegg subsequently broadened his industry expertise by joining motor trade and taxi broker Tradex Insurance, where he undertook a series of senior roles – including responsibility for claims oversight, reinsurance negotiations and underwriting strategy.
