Michael Gaughan, formerly head of marketing at Independent Insurance, has set up his own company, FWD Financial Services Marketing.

The initial target for its marketing services will be the general insurance sector but it will also aim for other financial services providers.

Services offered by the Gracechurch Street-based company include consultancy, product development, public relations and internet development.

Gaughan said: “Many companies are now looking for new ways to improve their marketing and we can assist either by benchmarking the existing marketing function and advising on areas that can be improved or, alternatively, we can take the problem off their hands and deliver the service on an outsourced basis.”


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
