Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has announced the appointment of John Baker as deputy chairman. This will take effect after the annual general meeting on 15 May. He will be replacing Anthony Forbes who previously announced his intention to retire at that time.
Baker has been a director of R&SA since 1994. He was also appointed chairman of the Audit & Compliance Committee in April 2001 - he will continue to hold this chairmanship.
