New India has expanded its UK operations by establishing a desk at Lloyd's.
Premium income in its UK operations has increased from £5m to around £60m in four years. It also recently secured a further £15m in new capital.
New India is the largest government-owned insurance carrier with over 1,100 offices in India, operating in 25 countries through 37 offices.
The company's UK operations based in London and Ipswich write a large direct UK domestic business and a portfolio of inward facultative reinsurance business.
