Zurich has appointed Guy Munnoch as managing director of Zurich Commercial & Municipal.
Munnoch will be responsible for converging Zurich Municipal and Zurich UK Commercial to maximise its potential as a multi-niche specialist commercial insurer, a statement said.
Zurich UK General Insurance chief executive Ian Stuart commented that the convergence of the two business units would “create greater opportunity and effectiveness.”
Munnoch joined Zurich Municipal in August 1997 where he was claims director before becoming managing director in 2001
He said, “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the new Zurich Commercial & Municipal.”
