Intermediary Leagold Miller has linked up with Ecclesiastical Insurance to launch a web-based product for the plastics industry that offers an increasing no-claims bonus.

The company claims this is a first in the commercial insurance market. The no-claims bonus mirrors the discount available to motor insurers.

There is also a free risk survey and a free building cost valuation service.

The product, insuranceforplastics.com, covers all aspects of the plastics industry from extrusion and injection moulding through to the logistics and distribution of plastics materials.

Leagold Miller director Barry marks said: "We aim to offer more competitive pricing with the widest cover available, through the application of new technology, but we also want to retain the personal touch that is only available through client contact and regular communication.

"We have conducted in-depth research into what insurance requirements the plastics industry has, and we are able to provide cover for any type of plastics business. However, we are always more than happy to tailor policies to meet specific clients' needs."
