Norwich Union (NU) is expanding its personal lines regional offices with the creation of four new personal lines underwriting consultant within its intermediary business.
The consultants will operate in Leeds, Norwich and Birmingham with responsibility for the management and development of underwriting capability within their teams, NU said.
They will work closely with the newly appointed personal lines specialist account managers to develop the personal lines broker business.
Karen Felton, academy manager for Norwich Union, said: “Our brokers tell us that they want access to knowledgeable staff who can make underwriting decisions.
“We are also promoting closer working with commercial underwriters to give a greater focus on the customer.”
The personal lines underwriting consultants have been recruited from existing staff.
They will also work with the academy and underwriting teams to create an ongoing development programme.
