New claims process to be implemented at end of April
The implementation date for the new process for low value road traffic accident personal injury claims has been pushed back by three weeks.
The Ministry of Justice has said that the new claims process for claims will commence on 30th April 2010.
This move is designed to enable organisations more time to test the XML Schema interfaces to the electronic communications portal which has been developed to support adherence to the reforms of the process.
The portal has been developed to enable the swift electronic exchange of all relevant claim information and related documentation, including medical reports.
Web browser access to the portal will be available during the first week of March, which will give both lawyers and insurers eight weeks to train on the portal and familiarise themselves with it.
