MoU agreed with Lloyd’s broker Newman Martin and Buchan
A new broker, Renewable Risk Advisers (RRA), has been launched to target the renewable energy sector.
RRA is the brainchild of energy experts Michael Bullock and Bill Lloyd.
The company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Newman Martin and Buchan LLP (NMB), a Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker.
RRA said this allows cross-marketing of services between the firms, including NMB’s specialist green power and wave and tidal facilities.
Bullock said: “It has been clear for some time that the renewables sector needs a more focused and bespoke level of service and support in addressing risk, with the cost and breadth of insurance protection of key concern, especially to newer technologies. RRA, in conjunction with the NMB team, will be able to add considerable value in this regard to those clients we work with.”
NMB’s Brian Richardson said: “We are very excited at the prospect of developing our partnership with RRA. This will rapidly become a market-leading alliance benefitting from the combined strengths of each of the firms.”
