Fusion pair move to Aspen

Fusion Insurance Services founders Kevin Pallett and Geoff Crisp have joined Aspen Insurance UK to build up its UK broker profile. The pair founded Fusion in 2000 and sold it to Towergate in 2005.

Carole adds to bike line-up

Carole Nash has won a 5,000-strong motorcycle book from the Co-operative Insurance. The deal follows a three-year contract signed earlier this year with Harley-Davidson Financial Services.

Anglo closes in on Quinn

Anglo Irish Bank has stepped up efforts to buy Quinn Insurance. It plans to inject capital and buy out bondholders. Quinn Group would still own the insurer but it would be run by independent directors.

Markel moves to Glasgow

Markel UK has moved its Scottish office to Glasgow, recruiting Stuart Rae, from Aspen Insurance, and Michael Bolton, from RSA, to the underwriting team. Business development manager Anne Hudson said the move would help Markel expand its broker network.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
