’We’re extremely excited about the opportunities that modernising our tech stack will bring,’ says managing director

Europa Group has announced a new partnership with CDL that will see it move its core insurance retail systems over to the insurtech’s Strata platform.

In a statement released today (6 October 2023), Europa said the five-year deal came as the firm embarks on a digital transformation programme to provide customers with a more “sophisticated” journey.

By moving to CDL Strata, clients will be able to use a self-service portal to access insurance documentation and make mid-term adjustments.

“Moving to the Strata ecosystem will enable us to meet the demands of our customers to allow sales and service fulfilment when, and where, they choose, alongside simplification and reducing customer effort to drive an excellent customer experience,” Europa managing director Richard Waring said.

“We’re extremely excited about the opportunities that modernising our tech stack will bring and look forward to leveraging CDL’s market leading data and digital tools to drive both volume and quality as we develop more advanced pricing and fraud prevention capabilities.”

’Resilient and scalable’

Europa said it took the decision to migrate to CDL Strata after a process of evaluation of other systems on the market.

It said the platform, which is cloud-hosted on Amazon Web Services, demonstrated advanced data and digital capabilities, including proactive insurance.

And with Europa looking to expand its personal lines footprint, the firm said that the platform provided ”a resilient and scalable platform for growth”.

CDL chief revenue officer Adam Pickering added: “Europa have adopted a forward-thinking approach to their technology and we are delighted to be working with them to achieve their growth and transformation targets.”
