’Face-to-face communication is a crucial component of this effort,’ says claims director

Managing general agent (MGA) Direct Commercial will roll out a series of regional claims clinics as part of plans to further strengthen engagement with brokers.

A statement released today (15 January 2024) said the clinics would go live in February and focus on commercial motor claims.

Brokers that have an agency with Direct Commercial, as well as claims handlers, are invited to join and participate in face-to-face sessions.

During these sessions, DCL will share their insights and experiences relating to commercial motor claims and discuss any issues brokers or claims handlers may need assistance in resolving.

Carl Cripps, claims director at Direct Commercial, said: “Direct Commercial is unwavering in its commitment to enhancing broker interactions and consistently improving access to vital information.

“Face-to-face communication is a crucial component of this effort and we look forward to good quality conversations with our existing brokers and claims handlers.”

Portal

The clinics will be hosted in cities across the UK throughout 2024, the first of which being in Manchester on 7 and 8 February.

They come following the launch of Direct Commercial’s new portal to enhance services for brokers.

The portal has been designed to bolster the MGA’s flexibility and policy servicing to, in turn, offer partners more “functionality and accessibility”.

“By hitting the road and hosting the claims clinics regionally, our aim is to make our team highly accessible to brokers and claims handlers and we warmly welcome them to come and have a conversation with us,” Cripps said.

“We hope the sessions will provide an opportunity to share essential guidance and provide valuable resources for brokers, particularly on the importance of roadside claims reporting.”
