Charlotte Jones replaces Scott Egan who was named as the new UK CEO in early February.

RSA has appointed a new chief financial officer to replace Scott Egan who took over as UK CEO earlier this month.

Charlotte Jones is currently CFO at Jupiter Fund Management and will leave her role to take up her new job in the summer.

Jones already sits on the insurer’s board as a non-executive director of RSA and member of the group audit and board risk committees.

Group chief executive Stephen Hester said of the appointment: “We are delighted that Charlotte has agreed to join RSA as CFO. She has excellent financial services credentials and is well known to us, having served as a non-executive director on our board over the last year. She will be an able successor to Scott Egan and I’m looking forward to working with her.”

Jones said she had enjoyed getting to know RSA as a non-executive director. “The business has a clear, ambitious strategy and a strong team, and I’m pleased to be getting more deeply involved to help them take their plans forward,” she added.

Egan replaced Steve Lewis who had been in his role since 2015, with Hester stating that 2017 and 2018 “had disappointed”.

Jones takes up her role following a tough couple of years for RSA, with a profit warning issued in the third quarter of last year.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
