NIG managing director Charles Crawford has put his stamp of approval on the consolidation of the Scottish broker sector.
Crawford said: “The trend for consolidation has allowed insurers to manage their broker relationships more effectively”
He also noted that the trend has accelerated after the introduction of the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) regulatory regime.
Crawford said: “Some of the larger intermediaries began to acquire their smaller rivals and this has developed into a clear trend in Scotland"
