Help the Aged Insurance Services has announced a new healthcare cash plan with no upper age limit for applicants.
It will cover routine healthcare bills, such as dental and optical costs.
However, it can also contribute to protection from the unexpected, such as hospital stays, specialist consultations and long-term care.
The healthcare scheme costs from £6 per month, and prospective policyholders do not have to complete a medical questionnaire.
It can be used to complement an existing private medical insurance policy which does not cover routine healthcare bills.
Sue Nelson, senior manager at Help the Aged Insurance Services, said the Healthcare Cash Plan is especially designed for older people – “unlike other healthcare cash plans, it excludes benefits such as maternity care or parental hospital cover.
“Our scheme is about giving older people on fixed incomes the security and peace of mind that help is at hand to meet their everyday primary healthcosts, as well as larger scale health problems.”
The new healthcare plan is arranged by Marsh UK and underwritten by Pinnacle Insurance.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
