Backchat noted in The Times last week an apology to The Beckett Group - one of the biggest brokers serving East Anglia.
The apology said that The Beckett Group had no dealings with Huntingdon Life Sciences.
It seems that someone had claimed Beckett broked policies for the controversial research company. Of course, this is untrue. But Bob Beckett said it had created all kinds of havoc at his office.
"We had someone dump a huge mound of dung outside the office one night as a protest," Beckett said.
"We had to get the bomb disposal people in to take it away, because someone could have hidden a bomb in it," he added.
