Neighbours of John O'Roarke, chief operating officer of Royal Bank Insurance, will be in for a shock this week as the former punk rocker picks up his guitar for the first time in months.

O'Roarke, formerly of seminal punk rockers The Deaf Aids, who you may have spotted on Rock Goes to College in the late 1970s, is practising for a reunion this weekend. Unfortunately, it is not The Deaf Aids who will be reforming, but a school band that O'Roarke played with before his 15 minutes of fame.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
