Oval has moved into Scotland with the acquisition of Service Miller.
The Glasgow-based Service Miller has 27 employees and an annual GWP of £7m.
Robin Martin, managing director of Service Miller, said: “Paul Robertson and I weren't actively looking to sell the business. But we knew Oval were building a strong and successful group and that we should take them very seriously indeed. We share Oval's total focus on the client, and our existing clients will benefit from Oval's specialist teams around the UK.”
Oval chief executive Phillip Hodson commented: “Great brokers are hard to find in this market. So we're delighted to have Service Miller at the forefront of our operation in Scotland. We are planning further expansion within Scotland in the coming months.”
