Oxford has completed a hat-trick in the Ladies' Varsity Golf Match by winning the Kiln Trophy for the third year running.

Oxford, who were the inaugural winners of the trophy in 1997, defeated Cambridge at Walton Heath this week.

The two teams played foursomes in the morning, which Oxford won 3-0. But Cambridge rallied in the singles to win 3.5 to 2.5, giving an overall result of Oxford 5.5, Cambridge 3.5.

Kiln chairman David Gilchrist said: "Well done to Oxford again. But congratulations to Cambridge too for fighting so hard after a disappointing morning."
