At the opening of ACE European Group's new offices at 100 Leadenhall Street, members of the world's press (well five of them) were impressed with the canapés.
Sadly last week's tube strike kept the numbers down, but once the cocktail party got into full swing, two late entrants gate-crashed the party. A screech of brakes heralded the surprise arrival of two motorbike couriers carrying fresh pizzas.
One eyewitness said: "They shot in, fully stacked with about four or five pizzas. I think the senior management had eaten the canapés before and were seeking something more substantial."
