Holman's has joined forces with Plexus Law, to provide advice to Holman brokers whose clients are faced with collateral warranties.
Holman divisional director of professional indemnity Simon Wright said: “Clients are frequently obliged to sign these documents and can unwittingly assume liabilities that conflict with the terms and conditions of their professional indemnity policy.
“As brokers, we are unable to provide legal/contractual advice and most underwriters will simply note the warranty as ‘subject to policy terms and conditions'.
“Clearly this is of no use to the insured and we feel that this service will give contract clarity and peace of mind to both brokers and their clients.”
