A senior police administrator is to stand trial accused of torching her £18,000 sports car to defraud her insurer.

Theresa Noble also allegedly lied about the incident in January last year to officers at Tayside Police.

The 47-year-old and her partner Paul Martin allegedly drove their Audi A3 Sports car to a yard in Dundee on 18 January.

Noble and Martin deny the fraud and a charge that they wasted police time.
