Pop music is high on the agenda of people committing insurance fraud, Backchat

learnt this week. Absolute Customer Management has identified the six CDs most commonly listed by claimants in order to inflate the size of the claim made when their cars were stolen.

It said pint-sized pop queen Kylie Minogue came top of the list, with Irish crooners Westlife and soft rock god Bryan Adams also making the top three.

A 1980s compilation CD and the latest dance mix CD are also some of the most common albums that are fraudulently claimed as lost, with Robbie Williams completing the list.

Backchat can only agree with Absolute when it says: "We can only assume that fraudsters aren't very original."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
