Brokerage Smart & Cook has opened a private client division at its Harrogate headquarters, specialising in the requirements of high net worth clients.
The new division has been set up in response to increasing demand for bespoke insurance packages from managing directors within Smart & Cook's commercial insurance client portfolio. Headed by former Aon manager Esther Forsyth, the private client division will arrange cover on items varying from works of art, jewellery, high value cars and even helicopters.
Group managing director Paul Meehan said: “Early indications are extremely positive and we are confident that our private client division will be a major contributor to the company's sustained growth.”
Smart & Cook said the new division would also generate business for local valuation and auction houses.
