For years, lawyers have been looking for new revenue streams. Now Backchat has spotted an unlikely hole in the market - bouncers.

Last week, Reynolds Porter Chamberlain organised a Christmas bash at the Imperial City restaurant. But come 5.45pm, with the party due to start at 6pm, there was still a group of inebriated City gents at the bar, who refused to leave because they'd "spent £900 here since lunchtime".

With the diminutive Imperial City waiters unable to assist as bouncers, it was left up to the ladies, who, in under 15 minutes, had sweet-talked the group out the door.

The secret of their success? Well, let's just say the men were last seen stumbling down Cornhill, clutching what they believed were the women's phone numbers.
