QBE expands its risk management services team

QBE has added Martin Devaney to its risk management services (RMS) team as senior client risk manager. 

Devaney will be leading the liability RMS team reporting to Richard Thomas, head of risk management services for the company’s property, casualty and motor division.

Most recently, Devaney has worked as a risk consultant for Marsh McLennan Risk Consulting and as a senior risk manager for Travelers Insurance Company.

Thomas said: “As we continue to develop and expand our risk management services I’m delighted that someone of Martin’s experience and capabilities is joining our team.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
