Abramson joins from Flagstone Re
Travelers has appointed John Abramson as head of legal and compliance for its European businesses.
Abramson joins from Flagstone Re, where he was general counsel Europe and global chief compliance officer.
Abramson will now be responsible for ensuring that the Travelers legal team can provide strategic direction and legal advice to business managers.
He will also be responsible for Travelers’ contact with regulators, including managing all corporate governance matters, and for overseeing its compliance programme.
Travelers Europe chief executive Sean Genden said: “John has a solid understanding of the business and regulatory environment affecting insurance companies in Europe. We look forward to him being an integral part of the Travelers leadership team.”
John Abramson said: “I look forward to working with Travelers’ legal and compliance teams and continuing to build an effective partnership with the business.”
