Maidstone-based liability adjuster The Quest Partnership has acquired VJ Adjusters in a move aimed at strengthening its professional indemnity service.

Quest partner Peter Mann said: "VJ Adjusters is a long established and well respected firm which has become available through the retirement of its owner, Vince May.

"It has an excellent relationship with the China Insurance Company and we have reached agreement with them to take on their professional indemnity work."

The acquisition includes the claims handling for the PI account of China Insurance Company. The account is exclusively managed and underwritten by Target Underwriting of Enfield.

Mann added: "We see this acquisition as a natural progression in the growth of the firm and in particular in strengthening our professional indemnity portfolio."

The Quest Partnership, which is headquartered in Maidstone, was established 10 years ago.

Its branches in the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire and Scotland are operated by its joint venture, The Quest Gates Partnership.
