Ireland's High Court has approved the payment of more than €1.7m (£1.5m) in fees to the administrators of Quinn Insurance covering the first three months of this year.

The amount includes hourly rates as well as legal fees incurred by the administrators - Michael McAteer and Paul McCann of accounting firm Grant Thornton - during their work with Quinn Insurance, which was placed into administration in March last year.

McAteer’s fees for the first three months were €168,625 while McCann’s were €94,763. joint administrators fees, company support professional fees and outlay were €509,502 for January, €629,161 for February and €576,123 for March.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
