Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has issued risk management guidance to clients ahead of a Health & Safety Executive (HSE) blitz on construction sites.
The nationwide blitz, which will take place from 7 June to 25 June, will focus on the three highest areas of claims incidence on construction sites: falls from height, lifting and accidents involving moving vehicles or plant, to ensure that safety standards are being met.
R&SA liability underwriting manager Martin Thompson said the company had also issued bulletins to brokers alerting them of issues surrounding the blitz and construction risk management.
R&SA has also bolstered its construction surveying team by adding an additional 12 surveyors.
