Royal & SunAlliance has upgraded its charity trustee insurance cover to include pollution coverage.

The cover provides legal expenses of up to £100,000 to defend criminal or regulatory proceedings relating to what it terms ‘pollution arising from a wrongful act.'

R &SA said the changes have been made to meet the growing risks facing modern charities.
