RBS Insurance believes its new claims system, ClaimCenter, is an industry benchmark.

ClaimCentre will replace the legacy claims system for the personal lines business and introduce a new IT system.

RBS declared it as 'the largest and most ambitious deployment of the system in the UK' which is 'setting a benchmark in the industry'.

Steve Maddock, managing director claims, RBS Insurance said: “Claims are our biggest cost as a business and it’s essential that we manage them well.

"ClaimCenter is an integral part of the claims transformation programme and is part of the strategy to improve efficiency and strengthen competitive advantage.

"We will be able to ensure that every claim is handled the right way, with minimal errors, increased efficiency and lower overall claims costs. This will position us as a genuinely recognised centre of excellence in claims handling.”

To ensure a smooth transition, ClaimCenter, developed by Guidewire, will be rolled out across our personal lines claims in a number of phased releases, completing by the end of 2012.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
