Alasdair Philips to replace outgoing MD  Mark Taylor

Restoration and repair company Belfor has hired Alasdair Philips as its UK managing director.

Philips has previously worked as both UK managing director and northern Europe and Australia area president for rival firm Munters, now part of Polygon.

He joins from the AA, where he was heading the company’s Home Emergency services.

Philips replaces Mark Taylor, who is leaving to start a new executive role at EnServe Group. Philips and Taylor will work together for a transition period.

Belfor Europe chief operating officer Conor Roche said in a statement. “We have seen real progress in Belfor UK under Mark’s leadership and we appreciate all he has done. I would like to thank Mark for hiscontribution and the strong impact he has had on our business. We are sorry that he leaves us andwish him all the best in his new role.”

He added that he was “delighted” with the appointment of Philips. “We welcome Alasdair to Belfor and I will be working closely with him to further develop our innovation and services in the UK.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
