News has reached Backchat that the, er, much-anticipated return of comedian Frank Carson to our screens has been ruled out due to problems obtaining affordable insurance.
Carson was set to appear as a contestant in ITV's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, but apparently insurers were reluctant to cover the Irishman due to the fact he has a pacemaker.
After deciding that it would be too risky sending the 77-year-old into the jungle, producers of the show opted for the slightly more sprightly ex-DJ Mike Reid.
