RJ Kiln has submitted plans to Lloyd's to increase the capacity of its four syndicates: 510; 557; 807; and 308.

The insurer has revised its plans for 2006 following the effects of Hurricane Katrina and anticipates a significant rise in rates.

The proposed capacities are:
Syndicate 510 £625.2m (2005: £546.1m)
Syndicate 557 £54.8m (£47.8m)
Syndicate 807 £110m (£100m)
Syndicate 308 £803m (703.5m).
