Weak reserving strength may reduce RSA’s dividend

RSA Insurance shares declined 0.7 per cent to 117.25p after Morgan Stanley said risks to the dividend were larger than previously thought, the FT reports.

It downgraded RSA to "underweight", saying RSA's reserving strength had materially weakened in the past three years, which might leave it unable to use surplus reserves to bolster earnings and the dividend.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
