Insurer is raising £775m to improve capital position

RSA will kick off its £775m rights issue this week, according to reports.

The cash call to investors will be offered at a discount of 40% to 50% of the insurer’s share price to ensure investor support, reports The Times.

The rights issue will improve RSA’s capital position after a series of profit warnings.

Group chief executive Stephen Hester said last month that the rights issue would be launched in March and completed by Easter.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
