The RTA Portal Company has reappointed Tim Wallis as independent chairman of the company’s board of directors.

The claims portal is used by motor insurers, compensators and claimant legal representatives so that claims information can be exchanged securely and faster agreements can be reached on liability and claims settlement.

More than 4,500 organisations are now registered to use the claims portal.

Commenting on his appointment Wallis said: “I am delighted to be reaffirmed as an independent neutral in this industry.

“The claims portal board remains committed to ensuring that the secure electronic claims portal is fit for purpose and performs to the best possible standards for claimants and compensators.

“It is vital that the claims portal continues to be effective and all of the directors are focused on making sure that we are supporting all of its users.”
