Ipswich-based Ryan Insurance has continued its expansion with the acquisition of Colchester-based Elcoates Insurance Services.
Elcoates' principal Rob Gage has joined Ryan at its new offices in Colchester and takes with him around 1,000 motor and household clients, and a number of commercial clients.
There are further plans for expansion both in Essex and Norfolk, with long-term plans to expand into west Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Ryan opened an office in Norwich in May last year , following the acquistion of Toothill & Trevethick.
