Legal expenses insurer DAS was among the suppliers to Hill House Hammond hit by the broker's closure. But unlike many of HHH's other partners, DAS has managed to salvage at least one thing from its demise; the cricket cup the two Bristol-based firms compete for annually. Until last week the cup was firmly in the possession of HHH, who had won the most recent bout. But, as we all know, you can't take it with you when you die, and the boys at DAS were more than keen to provide the cup with a safe home, reclaiming it during a recent visit to the broker's headquarters.
