Chief executive has no interest in UK non-life market
Finnish insurer Sampo has ruled out a bid for Royal and SunAlliance, following speculation that it was interested in making an offer.
Sampo’s chief executive Bjorn Wahlroos is reported to have ruled out a bid out, stating that the company did not have the “slightest interest in making our way into the British non-life insurance market”.
Samp sold its UK operation in 2001.
