The over-50s are a sensible bunch
The over-50s are a practical bunch. RIAS, the over-50s insurance provider, asked what possessions mature homeowners would save if they had to evacuate in a hurry. Rather than selecting sentimental items or valuable heirlooms, the most popular choice was an important document such as a passport or birth certificate.There was some room for sentimentality, with the family photo album the third most popular after a handbag or wallet.
Not surprisingly, dentures or spectacles were also on the list of possessions worth rescuing.
