A couple of weeks ago, one of our readers sent a letter in pointing out the similarities between former world professional darts champion Jockey Wilson and former world professional spin doctor (and Insurance Times columnist) Charlie Whelan.

The letter seems to have prompted a few "separated at birth" thoughts in our readers. One told me this week no one was sure whether Layton Blackham boss Chris Blackham had ever been seen in the same room as the UK's premier actor Pete Postlethwaite.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
