The severe weather in the Alps last winter should encourage more skiers to ensure they are fully covered this year, according to Legal & General.
L&G issued the warning in the light of recent disasters, which left tourists stranded and out of pocket.
L&G director John Castagno said: "Last year severe adverse weather in popular skiing destinations rendered skiing conditions extremely dangerous and many were caught out with the cost of treatment for winter sports injuries."
