Up to15,000 highly-skilled financial services jobs will be moved offshore over the next five years, research has revealed.

According to financial services consultancy Troika, complex and higher paid jobs, such underwriting and actuarial roles, will follow the flood of call centre and back office positions that have already gone offshore.

Troika managing directorAndrew Stewart said: "It's considerably easier and cheaper to retrain Indian doctors to be medical underwriters than to recruit, train and retain UK underwriters."
