Smart & Cook achieved a coup this week by employing Alexander Forbes subsidiary Bradstock's direct operation in Glasgow.

The ex-Bradstock team comprises managing director Colin Preston; director Eddie Harris; associate directors Ron Wallace, Ian Hutcheson, Colin Gillanders; as well as claims boss Suzanne Mitchell.

The new Smart & Cook division is believed to have taken some of Bradstock's Glasgow-based book which handled predominately corporate business and had a brokerage of around £200,000.

Smart & Cook said that following extensive research it was found that Scotland is a prospering country with great potential.
