LFC Insurance Group has acquired Clarke Cleverley & Co, an Essex-based commercial lines broker. Clarke Cleverley directors Keith North, David English and Les Clark and their staff will join LFC, said the company.

Hiscox system
Hiscox is to roll out its online claims management system across the UK. Hiscox Claims Management System is intended to increase efficiency in claims handling and to give brokers instant access to information on the status of claims, Hiscox said.

AM Best ratings
AM Best affirmed the financial strength rating of St Paul International as A (excellent) and of Allianz Cornhill Insurance as A+ (superior). The rating reflects the company's status as a core subsidiary of its ultimate parent, Allianz AG, said AM Best.

AXA, in conjunction with the Hotel and Leisure Best Practice Forum, has created a business survival blue-print, aimed at reducing the number of failed hospitality businesses. One in eight UK hospitality businesses close down every year, said AXA.

First Assist service
FirstAssist Rehabilitation will be the sole supplier of rehab services to MLA, for solicitors across the UK called MLARehab.
