Zurich is set to move into the mid net worth market. The new product will cover all the cars in one family and will have a single renewal date.

Meanwhile Capita Repair Network has secured a three-year contract to provide property claims services to Zurich's customers.

NMT merger
NMT and insureright have announced a merger. NMT Premier Plus managing director Barry Singh said: "The insureright on-line motor insurance quotation system, utilising the NMT question set and rating engine will be fully functional this autumn."

Wellington shares
Wellington Underwriting announced proposals to raise £74.4m in a placing and open offer at 50p per share.

It said the proceeds will enable it to finance £47m of its investment in Exali Reinsurance Holdings, the holding company of Wellington Reinsurance, as well as strengthen its financial base to support its participation in Syndicate 2020 for the 2003 year of account and beyond.

P&I Club makes loss
The UK Protection & Indemnity (P&I) Club reported an overall loss for the year ended 20 February. In its annual report, the club said that, at 128%, its ratio of assets to outstanding claims was still within the board's target.

IRM conference
The Institute of Risk Management's (IRM) annual conference and dinner will be held on 2 and 3 October in Cambridge with the theme of "Evolving better practice".

It will explore how organisations can deal with pressures like globalisation, regulation, customer power, ethical and social responsibility and financial management.

The plenary speakers are to be Oxford Metrica principal Deborah Pretty, Barclays Private Clients investment strategy director Hilary Cook and Beaufort International Management Consultancy director Mark Webb.
