Anti-fraud upgradeThe motor insurance anti-fraud and theft register is to be redeveloped by vehicle information providers HPI after it signed a deal with the ABI. It said the system, due in mid-2004, would have improved data accuracy and fraud detection.

Acturis deal endsInsurE-com and Acturis have confirmed they are to end their services agreement on the integration of insurE-com's personal lines rating engine, as revealed by Insurance Times on 26 February. The agreement will cease on 28 October 2004.

Contractsure winConstruction insurance specialist Contractsure said it had received provisional Lloyd's accreditation. The company, which was launched in November 2002, has offices in London and Leeds. Contractsure said it worked with a small number of provincial brokers on a joint venture basis and was looking to expand these relationships.

AXA promotionAXA has promoted Keith Hector to national development manager personal lines intermediary. Hector will have responsibility for AXA's personal lines intermediary team.

LRMS buy-outSuffolk-based livestock and bloodstock broker LRMS Insurance Services has been bought out by its management. The move follows the decision of majority shareholder Emma Stamper to sell LRMS to concentrate on her Crowe Livestock underwriting agency.

Community profitCommunity Broking Group has announced a 114% rise in pre-tax profit of £305,876 for 2003 from £143,151 in 2002. Turnover jumped 31% to £1.5m, up from £1.1m in 2002.
